E-MAIL FROM PAM AND ARDEN SCHLECHT IN CALIFORNIA
DATED 12/17/06

Regina:Two toes (Holly) is doing wonderfully fine. She had two crying episodes(loneliness) last night. She slept in her crate and came out to go potty on the paper; went potty out on the grass twice. You have done a fantastic job of caring for her and getting her ready for our home. We are so impressed with the her physical condition temperment, socialization, etc. We appreciated your attention to every detail concerning our puppy's health and well-being as well as in the paperwork. It was an absolute pleasure doing business with you. We are confident she has been as well cared for in her first eight weeks as humanly possible. If you should decide to raise more puppies we'll be glad to tell others where we got her and direct them your way or you can use this letter as a testimonial of your excellent service. Have a blessed Christmas. Arden and Pam schlecht

Our commute home was a little bumpy in the beginning but, went very well after a while. Puppy number 6 aka Magic and I bonded very well in the car. Thanks for breeding such a healthy litter, I will send pictures later on. We are very  Happy|!

Congrats on your new litter. I bet they are as cute as the last set. Just like the last time I emailed, we adore Pele and are delighted with her. She is extremely intelligent and good natured. She is the star in her training class and has moved from learning the basics into fancy tricks and we are considering entering her inagility trials. Pele has been doing some traveling with us in the car to visit relatives all over the West Coast and has been wonderful. She is calm and happy to be in the car with us and she is very well behaved when staying in other people's homes. Next week will be her first trip on an airplane with us. She gets along really well with kids and other dogs of all sizes. One of her best dog friends is 150lbs. Her training class has really helped her to become well socialized around other dogs. Pele has been very healthy thus far. She was spayed a few weeks ago and recovered REALLY fast, wanting to get out and play well before the vet said it was ok. She continues to take long hikes with us and has started running with us too as we train for the LA marathon. She can run farther and faster than either of us! I have attached a few recent pics of her which you are welcome to show perspective parents of your new littter. Thanks again for helping us to find such a wonderful dog! Hope all is well with you and your family.

E-MAIL FROM BARBARA IN LANCASTER, CALIFORNIA
DATED 3/20/08

Regina,
I am very sorry I haven't responded to your emails and the card you sent in the mail.  I get busy and just forget, but I am very sorry.

Our puppy is Zoey, and she's wonderful.  She weighs 20 pounds and is a beautiful mix of cocker spaniel and poodle.  She is the same jet black color of your poodle, has the look of a poodle from the front view of her face, but the side view says she is a small cocker spaniel.  Her ears and eyes are definitely cocker spaniel, and her body is cocker spaniel.  She's exactly the look I had wanted.  I keep her hair short, but not real short, as the curl tends to get very tight and matted.  Zoey is a wonderful  spirit, she is sweet, very loving, and quite smart.  She actually listens to what you say and understands everything, just as the poodle is known for.  We go for walks every day and Zoey loves it.  She loves to meet other dogs, but is pretty timid with strangers.  She's great with our 5 year old granddaughter and I can't figure out if Zoey thinks she's a human or if she thinks my granddaughter is a puppy....She loves to play....

I don't have any current pictures of Zoey, but we will take some this weekend and I will send them to you next week.

Barbara

Regina,

I'm sorry that I haven't gotten back to you.  Yes, you have my permission to post my comment, you have great puppies...  I've been wondering if you are going to have any puppies soon ?  We want another dog and Zoey really needs a "sister".   We have been looking for another dog for a while, and last month we went to see about adopting a dog (and save a dogs life), but I found that I was allergic to the long hair dogs or just about any dog that sheds.  So, if you do have any puppies now or will be expecting some in the near future, we would love to buy one.  We would like a female again.  Zoey is a fantastic dog, a loving member of our family.  She doesn't have any of the ear problems that most dogs with long ears have and the vet told us that all her blood levels were perfect, her teeth are perfect, and that she doesn't need any vitamins as long as she is eating the organic dog food.  The only thing that Zoey is missing is our older dog that we had until last November.  She was very upset when he passed away, how can a dog understand death ?

I will be emailing you some pictures of Zoey this weekend, I have to wait until my husband downloads them for me (I don't know how to download them or I would).

Actually, things are great.  After our last email about the fighting, they just seemed to turn a corner and there has been no more fighting.  In fact they play !!  There are still a few jealousy issues, but no problems.  Kissy is adjusting very well to all the new sounds in our home as well as getting used to Mark and Jenni.  They have continued to spend time with her each day and that really helps.  Kissy loves our early morning walks, she follows Zoey and sniffs where she does.  It's really cute to see them sniffing together.

We "welcome Kissy" to our family, she's here to stay...I'm going to have Kissy spayed next week.  She's so funny, I threw a toy for her to run after yesterday and instead of running for it, she "hopped" like a bunny..  No joke, both feet together and she took four hops, picked up the toy and walked back.  I think this little girl was born to entertain...

Thanks for all your help Regina, and most of all Thanks for Kissy.

I'll take some pictures this weekend and send them to you, and I'll send pictures as they progress.

Hi Regina!

I wanted to update you about our little cocker spaniel baby as promised!

We named him Milo, and he has truly stolen our hearts!  He has been spoiled by everyone around him.  My dad brings his labrador and dachshund over for play dates, and he runs around all day until he's exhausted.  I think he particularly likes to roll around in the dirt the minute after I've bathed him just to spite me.  He is learning to play soccer with Efrain, which they usually play in the living room with a stuffed soccer ball toy; Milo's version of soccer is grabbing the ball and running.  He LOVES his squeaky toys, and his toys are scattered all over the living room. He has also demanded to sleep in my bedroom, even though I had set up a nice doggy bed in the kitchen. He is getting along with potty training nicely, and is having less accidents. On the days when I go to work for longer periods of time, I bring him to my classroom, where my high school students spoil him rotten too. They have so far bought him a bandana and dog clothes, and asks about him when I don't bring him to work.  He has had lots of socialization to say the least! Thank you so much for him, he's such a happy and healthy dog.  He's brought so much pleasure to the people around him.  You were right, he has a BIG personality, but all of that personality has turned out to be 50% clown, 100% loving. Congrats on your new litters, and good luck with all you do!

Hi Regina,
We have taken Lucy to our vet (who is a friend of ours), and she has had her exam and appropriate shots.  We received this email after that, however, so we will do the follow up and let you know.  I am thankful for your email.  We LOVE having Lucy as part of our family.  She is the hit of everyone (grandma, uncle, neighbors, etc.).  When we get the vet info, we'll try to send you an updated picture. She is growing nicely.
Thanks,
Richard and Suzanne Tauer

( After someone exposed their puppy to Coccidia, I told all buyers of pups from this litter and all puppies tested negative so there is no telling whether the original puppy was exposed at new location or where it got Coccidia...long story... but I understand almost all kennels have this and I have just been lucky so far.)

Hi Regina-  Lucy does not have what the other puppies got.  We took a sample to our vet and all is fine!

I've included a picture of her.  As you can see, she's getting bigger.   She is a real delight.  She's  quite confident in her explorations of the house and yard.  She has a basket of toys which she strews all over the familyroom and kitchen!  She loves to play ball and is getting very good at retrieving it.  Everyone loves her!

EMAIL FROM YOUNG FAMILY IN CALIFORNIA
DATED 2/07/09

Dear Regina:

You sent me a letter quite sometime ago asking about Puppy #1. You might recall, my daughter, Angela Young, and two of her friends drove to yourhome to pick-up the puppy.  I wanted to let you know that Puppy #1 is doing just great.  Angela named her "Trixie" and, although we bought Trixie for Angela, we have all come to love her tremendously, especially me and myhusband. Trixie is not a dog, she is the baby of our family.   I must tell you what a smart dog she is and thank you for breeding her.   I too am an animal lover and I have had alot of dogs, who are always a part of our family.  However, Trixie is definitely very special and like no other dog I have ever had.   She won a blue ribbon at the vets for "personality". Trixie learns so quickly and she has her way of letting you know when she wants you to do something.   For instance, in the morning, she will not go outside unless I go with her because that is pretty much our routine. She will keep after me, pawing and licking me, until I get up and go outside with her. She loves to be outside, but really does not like the rain. She has her favorite song too. It is so comical, when this song comes on the T.V. (it is one from an hold Laurel & Hardy clip) she will stop whatever she is doing, jump up onto the foot rest of my husband's chair, and sit there, watching and listening to the song. I could go on forever about how cute and clever she is, but I did want to let you know she has a good home and is truly loved very much.   At the end of my work day, I cannot wait to get home to see her.   She is a very, very bright spot in my life. Thank you so much for doing such a great job breeding her.  I do not have any pictures of her, but if I get one, I will e-mail it to you.
Do you still have her parents?   Are you still breeding Cock-A-Poos?  Will close for now.   Take Care.

Regards,
Barbara J. Young

EMAIL FROM YOUNG FAMILY IN CALIFORNIA
DATED 2/07/09

Dear Regina,

I am so sorry to hear that Trixie's mother disappeared.  We do have Trixie microchipped and she is never left outside alone, even though we have a six foot fence around our yard.   I just wanted you to know that we treasure Trixie very much and will take good care of her.  Even if you had microchipped her mother, unless the humane society or animal control picked her up, alot of people will just keep other people's pet, especially if they are certain breeds that are popular.

Of course, you have my permission to post my letter under comments.  I am sorry to hear that you are moving to South Carolina as I always thought if, and when, I decide to get another dog, I could contact you as I would love to have another Cockapoo.  I see how well Trixie was bred and what good care she received as a puppy and I know not all breeders are up to those
standards.

I disagree that mixed purebreeds are a disgrace. I agree with you that they are healthier and actually make a better pet. All of the dogs I have owned were mixed, not like Trixie because she does have papers, but for instance lab/golden retriever. They were wonderful pets.
Please take care and, again, thanks for the wonderful dog!!!!

Best Wishes,
Barbara J. Young

HI!!!! Thought you might like to see how gorgeous my lil man is growing up to be. I have kept his hair short for the summer, since it is warmer at our new house. Keeps him looking young. He's turned out to be quit the model, since maybe he realizes his mommy loves taking pictures of him! This is him posing while we were focusing the camera for a family reunion picture at an aunts house.

I am also attaching a picture of his playmate, Cookie, she is a month older Malty-Poo. They just have a wonderful time together until they wear themselves out! She is cuter when she is washed, they had been rolling around since early that morning.

I hope that all is well...

Sincerely,
CINTHYA

"hiiii! i saw your name pop up and thought you might want an update!

I'm currently typing this on the family room floor, and our cocker Milo is lying on my back.  He has yet to learn I am not a couch and that lying on top of me is not the best spot during hot summer nights.  He owns the house but we love him to death; he looks so much like his mom!  We just celebrated his first birthday, and he's a very handsome 1 year old.  He's  also currently sporting a mohawk that makes him look like a cockatoo! =)

I hope you're doing well!"

My baby Mickey is doing great.  He is such a joy.  He got his rabies shot last week and cried like a baby and held on  to me in my arms.  The vet said that shot does usually not hurt but maybe he felt the sting of the alcohol and then the needle.   He was fine/  He got the nasal spray for Kennel Cough as i am going to sign him up for Doggie Day Care which we have at my Vet's and the dogs all seem to love it.  they call it school and they just have a blast.  Mickey will be in a class of puppies his own age and may start him off at one day a week for a few hours and then move it to two days.  He will be well socialised with other animals and people.  I would like to use him as a therapy pet also in the future and my vet thinks he has the perfect disposition for this.    they all love him...who wouldnt???    such a baby and has the time of his life.  He goes into his crate at night without a sound.  gets his goodnight kisses and sleeps til 5 or 5 30 in the morning.   I hope all goes well with Chewey and wish i could afford Dennis.  would love to hve him as a companion for Mickey.   I decided I will in all probability have MIckey neutered when he is 6 months old.  I have no intention of becoming  breeder.  I just wanted to see if i could have him sire one brood and then have the pick of the litter.  he is so precious would just love to have one of his...........I think you are a marvelous young lady and really want to stay in touch with you.  If you decide to let Dennis go at a number I could afford because there would also be the shipping, let me know.   much love and Mickey's very favorite toy, and he has many believe me, is that little frog you gave him.  he runs with it through the house squeeking it and having a great time.  We also play fetch wiith that and his ball.  he knows to fetch it and i wont throw it unless he givss and so he does when he is ready.   thanks again.  love, susan
